Toyota bZ7 electric sedan: Flagship EV debuts in China
Toyota Expands Its bZ Lineup with the bZ7
Toyota bZ7 electric sedan: Toyota has officially unveiled its most premium EV yet, the bZ7, crafted for the Chinese market. The high-end sedan, developed in partnership with Chinese automaker GAC, is a bold advancement of the bZ concept that Toyota first alluded to the year before.
Designed for China, Not the U.S.
With a length of nearly 200 inches, the bZ7 is roughly the size of a Toyota Crown, significantly larger than a Camry. While its size and sleek aesthetics may tempt international buyers, Toyota has no plans to bring this model to the United States.
Style Meets Function
The bZ7 retains much of the futuristic styling from its concept, including a roof-mounted lidar sensor, a full-width front light bar, and split headlights reminiscent of the latest Prius. One noticeable change from the concept? Conventional door handles instead of the flush or pop-out types common on many EVs.
Excellent Interior Design
The interior of the bZ7 offers a premium EV experience with perforated white leather seats, ambient lighting, and wood accent trims. The dashboard is modern and straightforward, adhering to the most recent developments in electric cars.
GAC-Toyota Collaboration
Built in collaboration with Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. (GAC), the bZ7 reinforces Toyota’s commitment to the Chinese market, especially as competition in the EV segment intensifies.
Launch Schedule and Cost
Toyota bZ7 electric sedan: Toyota says the bZ7 will launch in China within a year, though pricing details remain under wraps. In the bZ range, which also includes the bZ3, bZ3X, bZ4X, and bZ5, it is anticipated to be the flagship model.
